SCHMIZO AG is an owner-managed SME that has been existing since 1949. The company has built up its core competences in the development and manufacturing of customer-specific glass equipment and apparatus. The strengths of SCHMIZO AG lie in an above-average quality standard, as well as in a direct and competent contact with customers in research, pharmaceuticals and industry. The broad-based interdisciplinary team of employees consists of 15 people. In addition to the great expertise in the craft of technical glassblowing, SCHMIZO AG also maintains a modern machinery to ensure precise mechanically processing of borosilicate glass.
The company Glass Technology Kneuss, located in Meyrin near Geneva, was founded in 1997 by Mr. Hans Peter Kneuss. Regarding the products and services offered it has a similar focus as SCHMIZO AG, not least because the two companies have been working together as partners for many years.
The merger offers SCHMIZO AG a great opportunity to expand its presence in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, particularly in the Lake Geneva region. Until Mr. Kneuss will definitely retire from his active business life, the location in Meyrin continues to be operated for repair work or for personal customer support.
In addition, SCHMIZO AG has opened a sales office in Muraz-Collombey, Canton Valais.
